Your Attitude Affects Everything

Growth isn’t a word that has to be limited to the bottom line. The other day I was thinking about how closely my attitude affected my experience in the business world over the years. Back in the early days, there were the success Gurus – just like there are today.

Like many newbies, I got hooked on their messaging. Later, after several dead-end experiences, I found myself gravitating more towards the messaging of the naysayers. These were the people on the exact opposite end of the spectrum. They proclaimed on no uncertain terms that the game was “rigged” and that life was a bitch and then you die.

In hindsight, I can plainly see that my experience in the business world mirrored my attitude and beliefs. When my attitude was poor, the problems I faced seemed to have amazing staying-power and resiliency! When my attitude and beliefs were positive, the situation always ended up with me succeeding at a greater level, even if the situation started with something that I believed to be a significant loss (money, clients, etc.)

Let me just say upfront, I’m not talking about the power of positive thinking or positive belief like I’m going to be sharing a success formula with you. I’m simply talking about my experience with overcoming fear, worry, and confusion as I faced challenging situations in my business life.

Sound interesting? If so, I think you’ll get a lot out of today’s episode!
