Pen Names, Anonymity & Becoming Too Familiar

It would be great if business success was simply a matter of focusing upon well-mapped, paint by numbers process. It isn’t. Paint by numbers gives you an overview of where the different pieces may eventually fit. The key words here are “may” and “eventually.”

Books, courses and other forms of academia are great when you’re just getting started. Even afterwards, the information you acquire may help you recognize certain patterns or sign posts along the way. But that’s mainly where book knowledge ends and personal experience takes over.

Experience causes you to internalize information in such a way that it gives personal “real-time” insights into specific situations. Or more importantly, your current situation.

Experience – it’s often sloppy, disjointed and leaves you questioning your future at times.

I approach it from a faith-based mindset.

I only do what I can see myself doing… and sometimes it took a while before the things that I wanted to come into focus – finally did.
